On our last trip to Europe, I spent time in Switzerland writing, but we also spent time with friends in Amsterdam.

The lyrics here are as tangential as ever – I’m not totally certain what they are about, although I hear references to our friends Andrew and Judy in there. Let’s just say they appeared on the page in a moment of writer’s block and I thought they might work. I really just wrote the verses as an excuse for the chorus. No, I’m not even sure of what “Crossing some Amsterdam lines” means – but you have to admit it has a slightly dangerous, but poetic ring to it ☺

John Libby (you may know him as “ktb” or “kharmatoburn”) plays the main organ part and the electric piano. Excellent tracks John – thanks!

Thanks also to my wife Jan for doing the impossibly high harmony parts (and for putting up with me while I made the songs for the album).
